Studying at the Hamida Amin Kothawala Campus in Gadap, Syed Umer is a self made student. At 15 years of age, Umer not only studies hard to improve his grades, but also works at a utility store after school hours to support his family.

“Every day after school, I work at the store for 7 hours approx” says Umer. “I earn a total of Rs.3,500/- per month which helps to run the household”.

In his spare time, Umer enjoys reading stories and playing football. Chemistry is his favourite subject, “I love to spend time in the science lab! it’s exciting to explore and learn new things everyday”, adds Umer enthusiastically
